MINISTRY EFFECTIVENESS COMMITTEE OF THE BSJ
In addition to our many school-driven efforts to bring faith to action, our Board of Specified Jurisdiction also maintains a Ministry Effectiveness Committee which fits in as another piece of our faith in action program.
Comprised of school parents, teachers and parishioners, our Ministry Effectiveness Committee shares information which encourages the home-church-school connections, provides enrichment materials to parents and students, and acknowledges the efforts of our many school community members who are living our their faith through their Distinguished Disciple Awards.

GIFT A GOOD BOOK PROGRAM
Last spring, the Ministry Effectiveness Committee of Pope Francis Global Academy identified a couple of great Catholic books they proposed to gift our 5th and 8th grade students. Through donations solicited from parishioners of our 4 founding parishes, they were able to secure funding to buy and give a book to each of our graduating 8th graders.
The book, “100 Things Every Catholic Teen Should Know,” is focused on apologetics and it is the hope of the Ministry Effectiveness Committee that they can take these short, simple answers as to what the Church teaches, and why we claim it as truth, and share it with those they meet.
Efforts to fund this year’s books will begin soon. Look for information on how you can help fund this project.
PRAYERS FOR OPENING MEETINGS, EVENTS, OR A SCHOOL SPORTING EVENT
The Ministry Effectiveness Committee encourages all clubs, teams, and committees to adhere to our tradition of opening all sanctioned school meetings, events and games with a prayer by providing this list of guidelines and specific prayer options.
