Limited financial assistance may be available for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade whose families who have a demonstrated need. Aid may include Caritas, Rise, and/or McGraw Scholarships. Rising Kindergarten through 8th grade students are eligible to apply. No aid is available for Pre-K students.
To be considered for financial assistance you must first submit a FACTS Grant and Aid Application, upload all required supporting documents, and pay the online application fee ($30) to FACTS. Caritas and McGraw Scholarships are renewable, but you must reapply through the FACTS Grand & Aid Application each year to be considered.
Applying for aid through the FACTS Grant and Aid application is simple:
If you are a new family without a FACTS account, begin at the maroon button above. If you are a current Pope Francis family, log onto your own Pope Francis FACTS account and you will see a section on the left which refers to Payment Plans and a section on the right which refers to Grant and Aid. Under the Grant and Aid section, click the button that says, “Begin Application.”
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT ONLY STUDENTS FROM KINDERGARTEN THROUGH 8TH GRADE ARE ELIGIBLE FOR AID. PRE-K STUDENTS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR AID.
The step-by-step process is not difficult but it will require you to enter all of your family’s income and expense information. Aid for the current school year is limited but please contact the Director of Admissions if you would like to apply. You will need to upload tax documents from the 2018 tax year.
The Grant and Aid Application for the 2019-20 school year will open late in the fall/early in the winter. We will alert all current and prospective families when that goes live.
STATE OF ILLINOIS TAX CREDIT SCHOLARSHIPS
(EMPOWER ILLINOIS AND BIG SHOULDERS FUND SGO)
While the Illinois State Tax Credit Scholarships (Empower Illinois and Big Shoulders Fund SGO) can be a POSSIBLE scholarship option for some families with lower adjusted gross income compared to family size, the application period has passed for the current school year and, if you have applied but have not been notified that you have been offered an award, it is safe to assume you are too far down the list of applicants to be offered an award for the upcoming school year.
This program was new for the 2018-19 school year and has been renewed for the 2019-20 school year, but it remains uncertain for the future. We will share information with our school parents and prospective parents as we get it.
As well, please sign up to receive information directly from the scholarship granting organizations (SGOs) by visiting www.empowerillinois.org and http://www.bigshouldersfundsgo.org.
