Head of School
Mr. O’Rourke brings a vast array of expertise to the Head of School position, including principal leadership, curriculum and instruction, high school teaching and coaching, as well as strategic business planning inclusive of financial and real estate analysis.
During Mr. O’Rourke’s tenure as principal at St. Albert the Great in Burbank, there was a 53% increase in enrollment to the school’s highest level in 7 years. Additionally, he oversaw an expansion of the library, renovations of the early childhood classrooms and computer lab, incorporation of wireless capability throughout the school, and a rebranding campaign including logo, website and marketing materials. Prior to becoming principal at St. Albert, he worked at Fenwick High School in Oak Park, initially as an English teacher and track, wrestling and soccer coach, transitioning to Dean of Students and eventually Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction.
Mr. O’Rourke is a Marist alum with a Bachelor of Arts in English from Northern Illinois University, a Master of Arts in English from DePaul University, and a Type 09 teaching certificate and Master of Arts in Education Administration/Strategic Planning from Dominican University.
