A "Day in the Life" Photos
November 18, 2017 -- Our 4th through 6th graders from both campuses went ice skating together yesterday as a celebration of the end of the first trimester! Mr. Conley, our 6th grade homeroom, science and religion teacher at South Campus, had this to say about the trip in a note to Mr. O'Rourke:
"I really wish you could have gone on the skating trip. I thought that it was cool how the students from both campuses really gel and get along with each other. All of the students would gather around anyone that fell and helped them up. Everyone was "one." In other words, we were "one school."
The greatest thing that I saw was the sixth graders from both campuses helping the younger students skate...actually teaching them.
Sometimes we are so busy teaching and getting things done that we forget about all the positive. Today I had the chance to observe our students doing exactly what we want them to do and really follow Catholic Teachings.
I just felt the need to convey this because I am proud, as a teacher, to be a part of all of this. You would have been too.
Thank you for taking the time to read my email.
The 7th and 8th graders went skating today and had a blast too! Pictures are also included above.
